questions about upgrading RAM..
ok, so to start it off, i have a D915GAV motherboard
it comes with 4 slots for RAM.
1st question- is single sided memory compatible with double?
2nd question- i bought a 1GB stick of RAM and it works with another stick of 512MB of RAM, but i can't get another stick of 512MB to work with those first two.. do the 2x512MB sticks of RAM have to go together in slot 3&4?
just to add this in here, 2 slots in two channels. (channel a and channel b)
so i have 1GB and 512MB in channel A but i can't seem to get my bios to detect anything in channel B..
help?Last edited by vansugar24; September 12th, 2010 at 01:45 AM.
