best ram to O/C AMD system...
...I'm going to get an 890fx board that says "DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 " and I plan on OC'ing the heck out of it...should I fork over the extra $ for DDR3 2200 for more "overhead" to clock up the FSB??? will it even work on that board??...I'd realy like to get a 4g stick so I can up it to 16g someday soon but I'm stuck with about $500 budget for now.....I have the rest of the stuff to make it work and will upgrade more as time & $ allows........thoughts???? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

It would help yo know exactly which board you are talking about, which CPU you are using ect. But no the board doesn't actually support anything over 1333mhz DDR3, thus the 'OC'. That means it only supports those speeds if you overclock the board so putting in DDR3 2200 might be stretching it a bit.
16GB of RAM, are you kidding me what on earth make you think you need that much memory?

ok...so far:
Motherboard I'd like:
Newegg.com - ASUS Crosshair IV Formula AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Ram(yes-8gigs....16 is overkill...lol) - 2pairs of:
Newegg.com - GeIL Ultra PLUS 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model GUP34GB2000C9DC
...I still wonder if even though the motherboard wouldn't clock the ram above pc2000, wouldn't the higher speed ram allow
for better "overhead" and be more stable when clocked to the max???...or would the board not even see the ram??
This is the CPU I want for now:
Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition Deneb 3.5GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Desktop Processor HDZ970FBGMBOX
But this is what I might settle for untill the 6 core BE's get cheeper or the 8 core's come out:
Newegg.com - AMD Athlon II X4 630 Propus 2.8GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor ADX630WFK42GI - Processors - Desktops
Or even this one:
Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Desktop Processor - C3 Revision HDZ555WFGMBOX
...and this is one video card that caught my eye but if you have some ideas closer to the $300 range but I'd like the card to hold up to the rest of the system..
...I have an Antec 480w p/s w/20+4 connector & at least 1 6pin video connector....I'll look up the specs later but I run 3 hardrives so I'm thinking I need more like 700 watts...suggestions???
......so...think you can save me some money and get me as good or better stuff???
......I have antec 900 case and a Cooler Master TX3 CPU cooler that I can add a 2nd fan to if I need to...
One other thing is (much later) I want to get 2 ssd drives and run raid 1+0 with one of my other SATA drives as a mirror image of the os and the 640 sata drive for storage for files and stuff...
....sound like a pretty good plan so far???
Thanks again inadvance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't think you mentioned the video card being used? What are you intending to use this computer for?
I7 920 @ 4.2Ghz/6GB//GTX480 SLI/M4 64 GB + 1.5 TB + 2x 640 GB/Corsair TX950/ASUS blu-ray/ASUS P6X58D-E + X-Fi /LC PCK62

I'm a bit behind on most OC setups today but I was looking around at a few OC results and most of what I see are both the 970 and the X2 555 topping out at around 4ghz with DDR3 1600 so I don't really see that there would be a lot of need for any potential overhead. Good ram that has OC potential is going to clock up enough that it should be fine no matter what. So IMO it really just comes down to a comparative on price and it doesn't look like there is a ton of difference either way.
Since you're really all over the place in terms of what you are looking at I'd suggest narrowing it down to exactly what you want. Then do the fine tuning, don't try to fine tune the details when you have 3 or 4 options out there!
