changin laptop processors

Hi please can anyone tell me if it is possible to change my laptop processor..
I have a COMPAQ Presario CQ61-310SV with an AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200. My laptop has this specifications:

Yup, looks like you have several choices of CPU upgrade listed in the Service Manual. I recently replaced the Intel CPU in my Compaq. It was very easy to do by carefully following the instructions in the manual.

M600 2.4-GHz processor (2-MB L2 cache, 3.6 GT/s HyperTransport speed)
M520 2.3-Ghz processor (1-MB L2 cache, 3.6 GT/s HyperTransport speed)
M500 2.2-GHz processor (1-MB L2 cache, 3.6 GT/s HyperTransport speed)
M320 2.1-GHz processor (1-MB L2 cache, 3.2 GT/s HyperTransport speed)
M300 2.0-GHz processor (1-MB L2 cache, 3.2 GT/s HyperTransport speed)
M100 2.0-GHz processor (512-KB L2 cache, 3.2 GT/s HyperTransport speed)

Hate to say it but hindsight being 20/20 you would probably have been much better off buying a laptop with a better cpu to begin with. Other than eBay I didn't see any place that is even selling the AMD Turion II line.
