    Upgrading RAM

    Hello,

    I have a Core i5 2500 with 8GB of RAM.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit Home Edition.

Will I find any benefit of upgrading the RAM to 16GB. I tend to run memory intensive applications, high end games as well.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Look in task manager to see if yo're maxing out the ram you currently have. If so then adding more ram might help.

Can Task Manager log for a long length of time. (ie a weeks worth of RAM data)?

Do I need to use RAM from the same manufacturer and type in terms of DDR type etc?

You will most likely not see any difference, no game will use more than 2gb of ram, and you would need to be doing some insane stuff to max out the 8gb.
