Accelerated Graphics Port - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - gives you all the info you'd need

AGP is an outdated graphics slot.
PCI hasn't been used for graphics, for years. (older than AGP, but still used for other expansion cards like network, and sound)
I'm curious, why you didn't ask about PCI-express x16.
That is what is used for graphics today.Hard Sayin Not Knowin

thank you ,
but i want more information

A. You've been given all the pertinent info, all of which you could have googled yourself...
B. If your too rude to answer a simple query, why would anyone feel obligated to help you any further?
C. part of the reason in asking is to ascertain What info your actually looking for.

So do we.
If the article Rich posted, isn't enough, you are going to have to elaborate.
I don't know anyone here that is going to type dozens of pages, until we accidentally stumble on what you are after.
The bottom line is
PCI 33MB/s (wrong see below)
AGP 66MB/s
PCI-e X16 4000MB/s x2 because it can send both ways @ the same time.

There is no book, it would be a chapter in a book about computers.
You still haven't answered my question.
I still don't know, if you are confusing PCI, with PCI-e.Hard Sayin Not Knowin

so where this chapter in what book
i confusing PCI

No offense, but the most common would be Computers for Dummies.
I haven't read a book on computers for almost 30 years,
It is amazing what you can find, by googling ( PCI-express vs AGP) or PCI vs PCI-express or just
PCI-express, or PCI, or AGP.
You will come up with dozens of pages that look like this.

Sorry, I mixed MHz with MB/s

Frequency/ bus speed vs bandwith
33MHz and 132 MB/s for PCI
66MHz and 2199 MB/s for AGP 8X
That's what happens when you get old.
Edit
PCI-e 100MHz and 4000MB/s duplexLast edited by stroyal; March 5th, 2011 at 04:20 PM.

PCI 32-bit & PCI 64-bit = Slow
AGP 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x & AGP Pro = Faster
PCI Express 1.0, 2.0 & 3.0 x16 = Fastest
AGP is nothing more than a Fast Dedicated High Bandwidth Variation on the Older PCI slot, using Parallel Data Transmission, Thats used Exclusively Only for Video cards, connected to the Motherboards Chipset.
Since the PCI Bus is shared, the given Data Bandwidth of PCI is shared between all the cards or devices plugged into it, AGP gives a Video card, that needs a Huge amount of Data Bandwidth, its own Bus to connect to the Chipset, CPU and rest of the system. The AGP bus guarantee's the Video card has enough Bandwidth to run effectively. Primarily for Computer Games, and High End Graphics Processing used for 3D Graphics/Animation, and CAD like work.

But the internet is a huge reference, I learned 99% of what I know about computers on the internet.

Google a name, title, or any phrase, and you get all kinds of information.

What is the advantage? There isn't one, it's 2011. It's been that way for a while, but if you're wanting to know the advantage of outdated technology over even more outdated technology, wikipedia has enough information on this.
The only reason to go AGP is if you don't have enough money for a new computer and your computer is too old and doesn't have PCI-E.Cute

To add to Rich's AGP Wikipedia Link, here's the link for PCI as well.
Conventional PCI - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Since your comparing the two, you'll need that info as well as the AGP info in Rich's link above.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
