    New RAM won't register

So my computer came with 3 gb of ddr3 RAM and I decided to double the amount. I went and bought 3 more gb of ddr3 and put them in. For some reason however, my computer says I only have 4 gb of RAM. What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like your running a 32 bit operating system which has the 4 gig limit.

    Interesting.
Usually in that case, it would only show, about 3.5 gig, unless there is no other memory of any kind.

ie Video, BIOS,cashe, video BIOS, ect
