Confusion with laptop RAM limit
i have a vaio VGN-FE48G/H and on the website it says the RAM is upgradeable to 2GB, i checked out the the memory controller (IntelŪ 945PM Express Chipset) and that has a max of 4GB, so would i be wasting money by replacing my 2x1GB with 2x2GB?

Welcome to TechIMO.
What operating system do you have?

I cannot find that exact model... Are you sure that's correct?
All the other similar models state 2GB limit, I would be more incline to believe the manufacturer (and third party 'Crucial') than the documented limits of the chipset.
Sorry to say but you are at your limit... What are you doing that would need more than 2GB of RAM?
