    Question new core i5 2500

I just bought a new motherboard, cpu and memory and i'm having a minor, but strange couple of problems I'd like to try to resolve.

    System Specs
Intel Motherboard - Intel BOXDP67BGB3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
    Intel Core i5 2500(non-K)
    Crucial Ballistix 1333mhz ddr3 8gb

    Problem #1
For some reason i can't figure out the system is defaulting to run at 3.1ghz rather then 3.3ghz. I can manually change the multiplier up to 33 and it runs fine, but I'd like to have it use the correct multiplier automatically.

    Problem #2
My Logitech USB Illuminated keyboard doesnt work in the BIOS, or at all until after windows loads. To load windows and do initial setup, i had to plug in an old Dell USB keyboard and that worked fine, for whatever reason the logitech just doesn't work in the BIOS at all, and can't even get into the bios since pressing F2 has no effect. Both keyboards work fine once windows loads up.

    Any thoughts?

Problem 2, is probably the BIOS setting, to use legacy USB, or something like that.

You need a PS2 keyboard, to reset it, or the Dell you speak of.

When that is set, the BIOS can operate it.
If not, you have to wait for windows, to boot.

Some USB keyboards, do work, it must mean legacy design

That setting, is getting stupider, as time goes on, and everyone has a USB keyboard.
I think they should change the default.

    That's, my guess.

    That's, my guess.

Tried changing that setting already with no luck. The board does not have any PS/2 ports so that isn't an option.

    I'm stumped then.
It sounds, like there is no way to make it work, then.

If it is not some other BIOS setting, that I'm not aware of, a BIOS update, is the only other possible thing, that can effect this problem.(at least for this Logitech keyboard)
