Advise needed for CPU upgrade

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my processor and need advice on what I could upgrade it too.

Motherboard:
NVIDIA® GeForce 6100 / nForce 430 chipset motherboard

Current CPU:
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3800+

Memory:
2.0 GB Ram

Hoep that's enough infomation that you'll need. I'm looking to significantly increase my cpu power as much as i can within budget. Max I'm looking at is around the £100 mark.

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Honestly, its not worth it to sink money in that old an architecture...
The performance increase wont be worth the money it will cost and the board wont likely last long enough to make it worthwhile anyway...
Save up some more and sell your computer as is, put that together with what you have, and get something new...
Your just wasting money "upgrading" that platform...

TRY TO GET ATHLON X2 240 PROCESSOR.UPGRADING TO INTEL IS BEST BUT YOU MAY HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR MOTHERBOARD .SO WHAT I AM SUGGESTING IS TRY TO GET AMD DUAL CORE PROCESSORS LIKE AMD ATHLON X2 OR QUAD CORE PROCESSORS,I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH IT COSTS FOR AMD QUAD CORE PROCESSORS.

TRY TURNING THE CAPS LOCK KEY OFF.USING THE SHIFT KEY WHILE TYPING FOR CAPITAL LETTERS IS USUALLY BEST FOR WHEN NEEDING TO CAPITALIZE.SO WHAT I AM SUGGESTING IS TRY TO TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK KEY OR USE YOUR SHIFT KEY OCCASIONALLY TO CAPITALIZE, I DON'T KNOW HOW ELSE TO SAY IT OR GET THE POINT ACROSS.



Just a Hint: TYPING IN ALL CAPS ON THE INTERNET, ESPECIALLY FORUMS, IS THE EQUIVALENT OF SHOUTING OUT LOUD CONTINUOUSLY.

Ya I know about caps and shiftkey.I like to type all leters in capital or small letters just for easiness.
