mainboard hanging
kk i tried to power up my new P35D3 Platinum but it hangs everytime. I get no screen. My system configuration is: Core2Quad Q9400, Corsair XMS3 1333 4GB kit, 9800GX2 I tried another grafics card and i still get no screen. There hasnt been made any BIOS updates so, is it possible that I have to update BIOS before it can work with mah quad? or is it cause of the RAMS?

Was the computer working OK and then quit booting? Did you make ANY type of change prior to this?

after reflashing the bios, just for sh*ts and grins try removing the battery and reseating it to flush out any settings, and try and see if it is detected right.
According to MSI's site the 9400 is supported with that Bios update, so it should be working: MSI USA – Mainboard - P35D3 Platinumi7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
