    CPU cooling

I need an opinion on a cooler..I have a Artic cooling Freezer pro 64, do you think that would be better cooling than the stock AMD cooler for the AMD FX Zanbieze 3.8GHZ.

    Thanks again Bruce

Will it even mount on an AMD AM3+ board?

IMhO, this is a proper CPU cooler...

it should be a bit better than stock AMD cooler, but you probably won't see much unless you were overclocking. I used to run one of those Coolers on my Old Core 2 Quad Q6600 system and I didn't see a huge drop in temps down from the stock cooler. Same with an AMD Athlon X2 rig I had, it was better than the stock cooler, but wasn't really night and day. But then again, I wasn't overclocking the Q6600 and only a mild OC on the AMD. Though noise levels from fan did seem to be a bit quieter, but not by much.

I had it on my AMD athlon 64 3200+ and i had it OC to 3ghz and it never went over 35C. Specs says it good for 150 watts and this processor is 95 watts, i think im gona put it on and see what happens, like you said its better than stock.

yeah, my Q6600 at stock never went over 40C on average with it, usually stayed around 35C, 40C on load, and on occasion hit mid 40's when Folding, but never any more than that.
