    Is this An ok overclock?

So i Just found a Stable overclock for my i7 2600k at 5 ghz With 1.435v, I do have a custom liquid Cooling System installed and after running prime 95 for about 45mins or so the temps ( using real temp) stayed at about 77*c and did NOT go over 80 degrees on full load ,so it brings me to the question is this overclock ok to run 24/7

Just wondering on ur opinion thx in advance

    Honestly, no.

77*C is wayyy too high, especially if not even an hour under load.

Drop down the volts and keep it under 70*c and you are fine for true stability.

Ask yourself this, what are you doing that requires your cpu to run at that high of a clock? A 2600k is already a great processor, if you have to drop it down to 4.5 (which is still a hefty overclock) for the sake of power usage and heat (less stress on the psu with less volts and a cooler system overall) it's well worth it.

For example, I can get my FX-8120 past 4ghz with ease, probably around 4.5-4.6 if I really pushed it, but I keep it at 4ghz because after that it just gets too hot for 24/7 (Mind you, i'm on good air cooling, not water)

Ahh... I guess 77 is a little too high.
