| K6-2 450 multiplier set-up
OK jus got a K6-2 450 to go and put in my brother n laws puter, I know it has cvolt settings as low as 2v and it has the 2.2 that this things supposed to rub on. What would be the best multiplier setting to get this thing goin. I don't know the mobo ID right now as I have to take a 30 min drive to install it tonight. It is a socket7 mobo atx form factor. I not sure what FSB it uses but I do know it has 128 of pc133 running in it. Jus looking for a few idea's |

Do ya think it would run @ 5 x 100 so it would be overclocked a bit stable, I didn't think the k6's were very good OCer. |

you can try it, they usually OC about 50mhz but u have to up the voltage all the way usually..and get a bigger HSF
If it were me, i would leave it a 450 just to keep from making a 30min drive twice. He would probably never notice anyways. |

Man you what to talk about a joke. That system was purchased mail order so time ago and the multiplier pins were cut off so the best I could do is move the fsb to 100 and multiplier only option left was 3.3 so he has a k6-2 450 @ 350 I couldn't believe they would snip the pins off. |

had jumpers snipped flush with the board if I had it here at my house I would have soldered the jumper pins the way I wanted them |
