| my pencil trick wears off quickly...
On my 1Ghz athlon I can do the pencil unlock trick and it works fine for a couple weeks at 1.4, then the graphite wears off or somthing and i have to re apply it.. is there any thing I put ontop of the pencil marks to make them stick? (I dont feel like buying some defoger stuff till I upgrade to an XP cpu.) |

Usually it means that the pencil is a bad one.
I had that happen so I used a larger tip mechanical pencil. It worked great! Got my 700 to 94? with an FSB of 145! |

I used the rear window defogger repair kit and it worked great for a year until I upgraded to a new cpu. But it costs about $10 and the remainder of the goop in the bottle dries up and is useless after a short time. |
