Misidentification

For some reason my bios thinks that my 1.4 athlon K7 is a 1.04 athlon K7. It also thinks my 80gig ibm hdd is a 32 gig. Whats up with that? Any of u all know what it could be.

P.S. The thing was freezin up earlier but since i reloaded windows and it has started the misidentification it hasn't froze. (I have an ECS K7S5A with SIS 735 chipset)

1.04 athlon whats that all about? does it show 1.4 in windows?
the hard drive thing is easy the jumper configuration is wrong ibm drives have a 32gig limit jumper (as some bios wont reconise hard drives over 32gig) have you tried a 133mhz bus speed for that athlon it may be stuck at 100 making it look like a 1ghz althon.

ya thanks, the cpu was at 100 not 133, when i put it at 133 it jumped to 1.4 but it's been freezing, i'll just leave it at 1.04
