I agree about the Zalman coolers, give them a look. Here is the shim that I have... http://www.highspeedpc.com/Merchant2...tegory_Code=CS
I like it. Of course, my favorite color is purple though!

You must mean with shipping. Yeah, it sucks to pay that much for a little piece of metal. Of course, you can always take your chances and hope you don't crack your CPU core. $12.35 sounds alot better than two or three hundred dollars!

It's just that the money keeps adding up. I bought a brand new gaming rig all online in pieces for $928 and thought I was done. Then I found out I have to spend $13 for a shim, $40 for a heatsink and a fan. Well, hopefully I won't upgrade for a LONG Time and these Heatsinks, shims, and fans lost forever and 1/2.

VANTEC AeroFlow VA4-C7040 has gotten great reviews with more than acceptable noise ratio and for $33.00 you get heatsink , YS TECH FAN and thermal compound

That is cheap!!! i'm buying 6 of them, thanks a buncha fellow, great find. With this, i will be building more computer for less, i thought i had to go with the stock fan that come bundled with retail cpu which imo is not the cheapest and worse fan then even this one for more $$$.

Wow and it includes arctic alumina, that probably cost $3-5 in itself.
