Im probably going to be getting the SOYO KT-400 Dragon Ultra and I need help picking out a processor. What is the best out there for under $100 (hopefully way below $100). Also a good HSF. Im open to any and all suggestions....

I think the best choice would be AMD ATHLON XP 2100+/266 FSB PROCESSOR CPU - OEM for $95.00 shipped

Or you can get XP2000+ for $7 cheaper ..

If you can afford it, go for the faster chip .. keep in mind that if you go with OEM CPU (which is cheaper than retail) you have to get a HS fan for it ...

PS. the prices are from newegg.com

Happy shopping

Save your money.

Newegg has brand new XP 1700+ Thoroughbred, retail 3 year warranty w/ heatsink and fan for $62. It should oc to about 2G.

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...1700%2B+retail

You can't beat that deal w/ a stick.

I'd also take a look at the Epox 8RDA+ mobo. The Nforce2 chipsets are the real deal these days. The 8RDA is the hottest one out there. Cheap too.
