Question
XP2400+ w/333MHz FSB?

I was just curious if anyone has tried reducing their CPU multiplier and running their XP2400+ FSB @ 333MHz. I've heard they run well at 333, but my GA-7VRXP board doesn't allow you to adjust the multiplier settings, so I haven't been able to try it. I was thinking about getting an A7N8X board and giving it a shot. Any thoughts?

I don't see why not its based on the same core as the 2800+ but thats just my take on it.

Talking

I've been running mine at 153 FSB (2.3GHz), and it was perfectly stable, but I decided to back it off to 143 FSB to keep the temps down. It'll go even further, but the sound card causes problems, since I can't lock the PCI Bus frequency. I'd like to up the FSB so I can utilize my memory bandwidth.

My Current Setup:

XP2400+ @ 2.14GHz
GA-7VRXP Mobo
Volcano 7+
512mb Corsair XMS 3200 Platinum series
Gainward Ti4200 @ 270/533
2 x Maxtor 40GB 7200 rpm w/ Raid
Antec True Power 430 PSU
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
Platinum XP Case

I agree, these new thoroughbreds rock! I get 13500 on 3DMark, not too shabby for a Ti4200.

You can open the lower multipliers (5-12.5x) by connecting the 5th L3 bridge, on the Tbreds.
