| Where is this temp reading coming from ?
I downloaded MBM 5 , a program to give you mobo & cpu temps ...
My mobo is Abit KG-7 raid , the MBM 5 program gives 3 sensor temp reading , sensor 1 - 22 degrees C , sensor 2 - 34 d C , sensor 3 - 41 d C . also gives cpu fan rpm - 3879 .
SiSoftware Sandra cpu readings , cpu fan rpm 3879 , cpu temp 34 degrees C .
My question is where is that 3rd sensor reading from in the MBM 5 program ? ..... power supply ?
Many "say" the highest temp is usually your cpu temp .. OK .. then where is this other temp reading coming from , in MBM 5 ?
The mobo manual only list 2 sensors on the mobo , board temp & cpu ( diode under cpu ) . |

Check the MBM home page, and see what it says about your mobo. Then check out MBProbe and see if it gets similar temps.
I'd say the highest temp should be the CPU, and the other temps are prolly mobo and case fan sensors. Temps don't come form nowhere, but ya gotta chcek just what sensors they are reading from. MBM webiste should tell ya what sensors it recognises, and the prog (if it's useful) should tell ya what sensors it is reading (MBProbe does).
Sandra's a bit soft in the head , IMO, anyway, so I wouldn't trust her.
At any rate, the temps look OK. That's the main thing.
Cheers

That "exra" reading may be virtual. In otherwords, there was really nothing for the program to monitor but since you still have it enabled, it's forced to report something. Just a guess.

It will read what you set it up to read .. just check your settings for that sensor.
I just removed it from my dash board coz i only need CPU and MoBo temps
So basically, its all in the settings because MBM will not automatically detect your MoBo sensors, you have to insert them manually.
Look for the MoBo chart on MBM's site and check the ones for your board. |
