Here is a "cut and paste" from my BIOS...
(Phoenix - AwardBIOS)
CPU Name Is: AMD Athlon(tm) XP
CPU Operating Speed: 2000+/2100+(133)
- CPU FSB Clock(MHz): 133
- Ratio (FSB:AGP:PCI): 4:2:1
- Multiplier Factor: x12.5/13
- Speed Error Hold: Disabled
- Enhance for Benchmark: Disabled
CPU Power Supply: CPU Default
- Core Voltage: 1.750V
- I/O Voltage: 3.50V
- DDR Voltage: 2.55V
CPU Fast Command Decode: Normal
This is on a new Abit AT7 motherboard with an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ CPU and 256 MB PC-2100 DDR RAM (Kingston).
I'm asking for two reasons:
1. My CPU is running too hot (about 55 C at idle). That's with the case off and a properly-functioning and properly-installed heatsink and fan. See
this thread for more info, if you're interested.
2. Both my CPU and RAM mention something about "266 MHz" bus or FSB. I don't see anywhere in my BIOS, however, about a 266 MHz bus speed, which makes me think that I'm not really taking advantage of the DDR RAM.
Thanks!
