I'm new to overclocking and I want to know what is the easiest way to unlock an amd xp2400+ cpu? I don't have it yet but it's in my price range so I figured it was a good one to get. |

What about cpu cooling.....I may not overclock the cpu right iut of the box so if I buy the retail boxed version with the standard cooler is it good enough for now or should I just get a better cooler right away? |

If the cooler is rated for that processor, it should be fine for normal use. If you overclock, game a lot, or run any distributed computing programs (SETI@home, UD, FAD) I would suggest getting a better cooler.
Check the temperatures of the processor with either Motherboard Monitor 5 or Speedfan, which are two free apps that monitor temperatures. They should not go above 60 degrees Celsius.
