You can't change the multi on a P4 but most bios's will let you change the fsb. Look around in the bios and you'll prolly find the screen.

In the BIOS i can see the bus spped but it doesn't allow me to change it. Also, there is no option to change the system clock. POS gateway's. |

Its because its a Gateway---they dont want you to muck around with things like that---too bad as its probably got a few hundred extra mhz in it ready to be put to good use... |

Time for a new Mobo ... welcome to the club. I had an Intel D845EBT and there were no options to OC in the bios also.
If you want to get the most outta that 1.7 you will need a good overclockers board. Let the shopping begin ... |

I did the exact same thing hoping this would add some features to the bios but nothing. You might want to try some reviews of your board to see if you can get to the clock speeds. My Intel mobo is OEM specific and gave very little chance of me changing anything. |

Just found this at hardwaresite.net As for the overclocking, we could not do anything. This motherboard uses the ICS 950201AF generator, but it does not have any overclocking adjustment device in the setup or by means of jumpers. Unfortunately, we did not find any program capable of recognizing and providing the adjustment of the clock generator used by this motherboard. |

No Intel board allows overclocking except their latest one, the Blue Mountain 2 utilizing the 845PE chipset. |
