Up the GPU and memory in slow increments. Don't fry your card. After installing coolbits you'll need to restart your PC. Go to control panel>display>settings>advanced>GeForce 2>then on the window that pops out to the left side click on clock frequencies and you'll get 2 dials-1 for the Core Clock Frequency and 1 for memory clock frequency. Up both in small increments and test. If you still get a picture then it might be safe. Run 3DMark2001 and see if you spot any errors in the picture. If you do then go back and turn it back down a little. Burn in test it for several hours playing a graphics intensive game. Run 3DMark2001 again. When you can do all of this without strange anomolies on your screen then you've OCed your graphics card sucessfully. |

or you could do it the manly way and pop the sliders to full! Go out in a ball of flaming glory! (I wouldn't suggest it though) |

| mossopinc! I've done that with two vid cards (Radeon LE, and GeForceDDR). Both actually worked fine for a few months. The GeForceDDR I finnaly sold and was working great, and the Radeon LE is still working, but not as well as it used to (a few artifacts here and there). I've had great luck with overclockable graphics cards! I mean my Radeon LE started out at 148 core 148mem, and after screwing a 486heatsink fan to the heatsink of the radeon I was able to get it to 196/196 (me thinks 196, I know well over 190/190)! It's a sweet little card! Whenever I need to play BF1942 or UT2k3 its always ready to OC! |
