FC-PGA 2 is the Tulatin core. It had a different I/O Voltage to it, so it wouldn't work with an older motherboard.
I think the only chipset that Intel made that supported the Tulatin was the 815T or something like that. |

So that means that it won't work or it will only work with an adapter? If it won't work period, what is the fastest one that I can get for it?

With the adapter, I was able to use a P3 tualitin on a board that had a celery 700. It should have no problem working with the adapter.

Do a google search on FCPGA to FC-PGA 2 adapters. Click on the 3rd one down or so from Pricewatch. Scroll down to the 9th listing and click on the link Buy Online from the package2you listing. Should take you right to it. Should see it as the second item listed. |

That's a P4 fan and won't clip onto the socket.

Oh, ok. I didn't know if that would work for it or not. I just paid attention to the price and that is the only fan that that company has for sale. Seeing that is where i am going to buy the converter. I have to buy a converter for the other computer, too. |
