vcore spikes on asus a7v333

should the vcore reading be spiking from 1.6 to 2.0 on a xp 2000 palomino proce.? yesterday my asus probe software started to give low rpm warnings on fans in my system.that would only last for a few seconds, then go back to normal..also tried mmb 5..did the same..any help would be appreciated

i was running a antec 350watt p.s. and went to buy a antec 439 truepower..still does the same thing..any help...i just really need to know if vcore is supposed to vary from 1.6 to 2.0v?

could voltage differences at the wall outlet have anything to do with this? this morning the machine has been on for about 1.5 hr and no problems. fluke?

My A7V333 jumps around like that depending on what I'm running. A CPU intensive program/game will cause it to vary up to 0.5 volts. On idle, it may only vary 0.1v.
However, I'm overclocking.. i'm not sure what the normal operation is for this board.
I'm afraid I don't have a straight answer to give, but it may shed some light on it.
