If you are planning to overclock it then go with the one with the 400mhz(100mhz quad pumped) FSB if not then get the one with the 533mhz(133mhz quad pumped) FSB one. |

Can anyone recommend a motherboard to go with the "Intel Pentium 4 2.4BGHz 512K 533MHz CPU Northwood P478 Processor Retail Box $164.00" processor. I am leaning towards the INtel D845PESVL for cost, onboard audio and stability issues.THe board costs $107.00. |

All depends, do you want DDR or RDRAM? |

It is my belief, if you go P4, the RDRAM is the best option, with the cost of RDRAM dropping to near DDR levels and it being the faster memory, it would be my choice.
I recently setup a 2.53 533 system for a client, and tried overclocking it. Easily could get it to 2.7 on the stock heatsink and fan. Not too shabby at all.
