    AGOGA Stepping?

     
    what does this mean? newegg has it, I dont know what it means..... **AGOGA Stepping** AMD Athlon XP 1900+

    Athlon XP 1900+ with AGOGA stepping. All this is actually a 2100+ with lowered multiplyer settings set to 1900+ speeds. All you need to do is change the multiplyer lock and change the multiplyers.

    so pretty much I can just change the settings and i'll have a 2100? well im not actually going to get it because its a palomino core, but I just want some knowledge with the stuff.

    Ummm... the XP2100+ is only a dollar more so why not just go with that? You are ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED the 2100+ speed already and there's no chance of messing up the chip when unlocking.

    yea, i realized that, and its revision B so thats better. I think its weird to have a 1900 palomino and then have a B 2100 for 93, as it was 3 days ago, not sure about now. but oh well

    The good thing about the AGOGA stepping is that it also GAURANTEES 2100+ speed and a major plus is that it will then be an unlocked 2100+. Normal 2100+ cant be unlocked. They are the only AMD Athlon XP processors that cant be unlocked
