Well, my printer i sout of ink and i dont know when i will get the chance to buy more, i tried writing some of the commands down but when i got in the BIOS almost all of them werent there, im going to see if i can get a Athlon or a P3 sometime soon.
Oh yeah, winXP is really begginging to annoy me, most new folders i create, after a while if i ever try and access them by double clicking, it just crashes my computer, everytime, same folders, any idea what doing that?
Thanks for the help. |

You can post a list of what you see on each of the BIOS option pages and we can suggest a setting for you. This would be an easy process as most of the configurations will require default settings and only a few settings to actually make changes.
Cheers! |

Yeah Beemer that was exactly what i was going to do when i could get round to it, make a list of my settings.
I do know my RAM has something to do with the problems (128MB SDRAM PC100, ARRRGGHH) But im ordering a stick of 512MB SDRAM PC133 just as soon as the seller hurrys up and contacts me.
I also have a WinXP service pack to download still, that may be what is causing the folder problems and stuff, its 40/50 megs tho and im only 56K (nothing i can do about it) so its just getting the time to leave my PC dowloading and installing that too. |

I would suggest that you get your machine in good working order before you get the SP1. SP1 has been known to create its own brand of problems on some machines. Create a benchmark O/S so it's easier to detect problem sources later. If you install SP1 now, where do you start fixing things later on.
56MB download is the worst case scenerio. You might get away with less.
Cheers! |
