| Vantec aeroflow thermal goo, any good?
Is the thermal comound that comes with the vantec aeroflow any good? Didn't get a real good look at what type it was. Or would arctic silver 3 be better?
Thanks,

It should only run 3-4C hotter using prepackaged thermal compound compared to AS3 but that much extra heat shouldn't be anything to worry about unless if you are planning to overclock.

Frankly, they're all pretty much the same.
I think it was DansData that did a test that determined that Vegemite outperformed all the leading thermal pastes, at least in the short term.

There you go, there's the article.
He describes Vegemite in it, and said it tastes as good as it looks: http://www.dansdata.com/goop.htm
(Note: the article does have actual scientifically gathered numbers for arctic silver, alumina, and a couple others, including zinc oxide...)

EDIT: That's also the sketchiest looking brand of toothpaste I've ever seen... |

I love the Vantec AeroFlow! My two AMD Athlon 2500+'s are running at 38C Full Load, and 34C Idle!!
Have fun!
