| Unlocking XP
I have a 2100+XP which I'm trying to unlock. Well I ordered an unlocking kit (from highspeed pc) and I got it today. As I'm trying to fallow the instruction I find that when I looked for the L1 none of the bridges are burned with the laser here. What gives? Do I have an unlocked CPU from AMD or what? Here is what I've got:
L3 (1,3) L5 (2,3,4) L9 (1,2,3,4,) L11 (2,4) L12 (3,5) these mentioned here are the ones that has been cut with the laser, and the rest are ok. Anyone knows what is going on?

Check it out, Jorge; if it is a Thoroughbred ( and it probably is ) - it is already unlocked.
Now the trick is to access the multipliers. That is very easy if you have the right motherboard.
So....
What is the 2 (3?) lines of info on the CPU? Is there a little black section, off the core, closer to the edge of the cpu, that has very small writing on it? What does it say exactly. Based on that writing, we can identify exactly which Athlon it is.
What motherboard are you planning on using?
Most nForce2 boards can access the multipliers. Some KT400 based boards can also. If you are planning on using a KT333 based motherboard, more needs to be done.

I have an Asus A7N8X deluxe (which is nForce)and I have to look at the CPU to see the writing (I know that this one is a B if that is what you mean by looking at the writing) Let me look and I will post what it says

Well then, you mean it is a Thorughbred B. The Asus will give you access to the multipliers with the "1002" BIOS. |

Any idea which boards?
I've never heard of these options for the 400 chipset either, any idea which boards?
