I would suggest mine as i`m having a great time with .. Epox 8KHA+ .. at the moment its working at 150FSB rock stable from the first two attempts, and thats why i will OC it today to maybe 160FSB ...i don`t feel confortable over than that
I increased the Voltage for CPU and memory to keep them stable and it worked .. this board`s BIOS gives you control almost over everything ...
Using it with XP 1600+ and 512 PC2100 Crucial

What KenKun said....... I've been very happy with my 8KHA+. I've not gotten as adventurous yet, sitting on 145 FSB, but perfectly happy with only the tiniest of voltage bumps. Basically I got an 1800+ for the price of a 1600, and I'm way happy 'bout that!

I agree with KenKun, I have an Epox 8kha+ running XP1600+ at 1.53Ghz (1800+) without having to up any voltages, running it at board defaults (1.75v) Mem at same, haven't unlocked chip to take it higher yet, getting there just have to get a syringe.
I was having difficulty at 150Mhz FSB, something in my system didn't like it, Think it's ram (2x256Mb Crucial DDR PC2100) but it might be something else could be any piece of hardware.... want to up multiplier, see if I can hit 2000+ or higher levels. I know the CPU will work at 1900+ easy, with almost no increase to voltage. but whatever is effecting the FSB keeps reseting the computer.
but the board is great, and POST card is great, tells you the exact error, instead of having to count beeps that go faster then you can flip your fingers to count. |

I have found EPOX boards to be superb. I have a 8K7A and running at 167 MHz for a couple of months. My 1.33 GHz runs happily at 1.5 GHz. Good luck, let us know what you get.

Hi Wizzard .. i had the same problem you mentioned and i got my PC to be stable with the increase on Memory Voltage (i use 2X 256 Crucial too) .. i cracked the voltage up to 3.0 vol., and yes in higher timings and FSB the memory will drink up all the juice it can get ... 3.0v seems high but for sure 100% safe and stable!! .. |

Do you use any special cooling on your ram to compensate for the higher V? |

I don`t use special cooling for the RAM at all .. and they never seem too hot when i touch them ...
I just use a 120mm fan that is installed through a hall i made on my PC side cover .. so it blows fresh air over the CPU ...
The RAM is known not to get hot to the CPU heat level .. no special cooling is needed for OCing RAM ..
