Intel 2.6 C heatsink fan needed
I just bought a new 2.6ghz Intel C CPU and was wondering what would be a good heatsink fan combo for this CPU.
Price is no object, but since I am in Canada supply probably is.--- Standby to receive our transmission ---

The Vantec Aeroflow is a nice one. I installed the Athlon version on my new XP-2400 and it keeps it very cool and is very quiet. It's got the TMD (tip magnetic driving) fan and a copper core.

Newegg has a better picture of it. Linkage

How about for the Intel? I plan to overclock this sucker as I just bought some nice 400mhz ram with heat spreaders and the Asus 800 mhz motherboard.

I have a CoolerMaster IHC-L71 Silent Heat Pipe on a P4 2.4 G slightly OCed to 2.6 @ 1.525 volt. Solid as a rock and 36C. Next week I'm going to upgrade to a P4 3.06 HT with a Zalman CNPS7000cu. Very highly recommend both, especially if you value your ears.
EDIT: maybe I'm going for a Thermalright SLK900... everybody tells a different story...Last edited by Linck; May 26th, 2003 at 06:07 AM.
