    Epox MB\8RGA+ Onboard video??

Does any one have this board\8RGA+? just wondering how much ram the onboard video has. it says at newegg.com that it is geforce4 mx, but does not say if it is ddr or sd ram.

If you have this board do you like it or do you think i should just go with the 8RDA+. thanks

    8RDA+ $84.00
    8RGA+ $99.00

what do you plan on doing? gaming or just like surfing and emailing? or what?

if you want to game i wouldnt touch that piece of crap 8rga, i would get the 8rda+ and pick up a radeon 9500.

if your gonna be doing light stuff, nothing real intensive (and if your short on cash) then you can always get the 8rga.

Sorry, but i do not know what type of gforce4mx it is.

The integrated video shares memory with the rest of the system. I do have the 8RGA+, but I do not use the onboard video. I bought this board just for the VDD adjustments in the BIOS, but as far as onboard video goes, it is quite good for most tasks. However, if you are going to be doing a good amount of gaming, I would recommend going with a discreet graphics card.

I built a system around the 8RGA+ for another friend of mine, who may end up playing games with it later on, but due to costs, I decided the 8RGA+ with it's onboard is good enough. It does have a separate AGP 8X slot on the board, so you aren't stuck with onboard if you end up buying the board. But it all depends on what you are building the system for.

I've seen guys say they scored over 5000 3Dmarks (2001). It's not great, but it's better than crap.

It's a great board at a great price w/ a damn good video adapter for an integrated machine. And you can always add a better video card down the road.
