Pertinant info :

ok i checked the manual and the jumpers are all set right for jumper-free mode but the bios is still all locked out...cant switch it to user define...
i could set the jumpers to whatever setting would be good...but i dont know what setting would be safe...i dont want to burn this chip cuz it runs my HTPC and it would sukk to toast it
suggestions on what setting to use? anyone have a similar chip and same board? any thoughts? what would be "too dangerous" temp-wise? |

Quick question:
Does it let you make the changes, but resets all the options back to what they were before, or does it simply not let you make any changes whatsoever?
Check your BIOS there might be a setting that will block you from making any changes to your FSB, and multiplyer, etc.
I rember I had an old ASUS PII board wich had a setting which would not let me chenge anything, even go into user define untill I turned it off. It was a while ago, and the Asus site seems to be down at the moment, so I am sorry but I can't give you more details.
Hope this helps.
