I checked the gigabyte website : http://tw.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard/...ts_GA-7ZXE.htm

and from it you can see that the board you have supports easytune3 which is a program gigabyte have that will overclock your mobo.

But easytune is safer. If your overclock fails or becomes unstable easytune resets your settings back to stock. Might want to try that route first and get an idea of what your CPU/RAM can do. Also depending on which revision of the board you have will determine your overclockability. Version 1.x/2.0 only support the XP+ Palomino core CPUS which aren't very overclockable. Version 2.1 takes the XP+ T-Breds which are much better overclockers.

I see your point, easier to go testing with it then clearing cmos everytime

but I still want to know if its even possible to overclock using 7zxe's bios, so i dont go buy cpu and then have no options

got lucky its rev: 2.1, man it would of sucked if it wouldnt accept the t-core, by the way do you know what max cpu it takes ?

do you have one by the way ?

Thanks
Dan
