Ok, I know that the Palominos have that integrated "t-junction" temp sensor like the Pentiums have had for years. But I also read that the newer KT266A-based (At least my MSI doesn't) motherboards don't have the circuitry to support this function. I also notice there is no thermosister in the CPU socket in my MSI board. So what's the deal? How am I getting temp reading on my CPU if neither the thermosister or internal circuitry exsist? With a locked 1500XP (soon to be unlocked) I get idle temps of around 35C with a GW FOP38 and max temp of 43C while running prime95. But can I be sure these are accurate without the aforementioned temp taking functions?

If you look at the little chips in the center of the socket, one is a temp sensor, If you stick insulation in the hole in the socket then put it together you'll get very low temps (tho very false temps)
