Somebody help me with how to overclock

Hey I have a AMD 2000xp is there anyway to overclock and what do I need to do exactly to overclock even if I can't overclock this cpu.......AU13 mobo 1gb ram with 9000pro.....also anyone know how high I can overclock 9000pro...have program just need to know what mhz. thx

1. what mobo chipset and bios versions do you have.
2. why do you want to overclock? 2000+ is plenty fast. 'cousre i got a 3200+ but 2000 is still very fast.
3. ever processor thats been overclocked that i know of have gotten fried after a few months.

the first thing you need to do is some research . do some searches and find out what overclocking is . just doing anything that people tell you to do and not knowing what the outcome will be or what causes problem will be a big headache for you .

nobody can tell you what you will be able to overclock to because each cpu is different and will work differently . sure you can get an idea but thats all it is an idea .

if you don't know what your doing u can mess alot of things up .
