| overclocking 2500+ to 3200+
In order to overclock the 2500+ to a 3200+, with the Asus A7N8X Deluxe, what memory should I buy? |

at least some samsung chipped PC3200 ram.
personally recommend Mushkin myself, this stuff just goes and goes.. doesn't even get warm when heavily overclocked, doesn't ask for more volts either.
if you have good cooling on it, you can push your FSB to 210 with default multi and generally only have to raise +.05 volts with little heat increase and get about 3400+ levels.
or you can raise the multi to +.5 and keep the FSB at 200 for the same effect [essentially] if your ram won't OC at all. |

My personal prefrance is Corsair XMS... All the ones mentioned however should do the trick, but everyone has their own personal favorite. Regardless of what brand you get, just sure its PC3200 |

well even if you did and you ran them in tandem, you could only run it at CL2.5. Another thing, there is VERY little difference between CL2 and CL3, very little. So if you just find another CL2.5, you should be good.
let us know on your decision |

Well when I was OCing my 2500 I was using pc 2700 and managed 3000 using stock cooling but that was a rare OC stock cooling. I would go PC 3200 if you have to money 3500. HyperX
