Question
AMD Athlon question

On AMDs page of recommended HSF, they list 2 different
Athlon XP 1800+. Model 6 and model 8.
What is the difference and how can I tell what HSF to buy from Newegg ?

thanks

Send a message via AIM to RamonGTP Send a message via Yahoo to RamonGTP
ther is no such thing as an Athlon XP 1800+ thunderbird... The last thunderbird was a 1.4GHz that did not have the naming conventions that are now used... Its probably a Palomino

That whole model 6,8,10 etc seems a pain. I ran across that last week while trying to figure out the max cpu supported for certain motherboards....sort of doubles your work trying to sort it all out.
