Got a nice little stocking stuffer and decided to buy a new XP processor. Can only afford a 1600+ or 1700+. I'm trying to find one that is already unlocked if anyone has one FS . My bank is $150 (this includes cooler). Is there a significant performance increase with the 1700+? LMK! Thanks,
There is for sure a little difference but not at all significant ... you will have few seconds less or few points more in benches .. but in real life use .. you will not notice a thing at all ...
Get the 1600+ one and overclock its FSB .. you will have cool performance if the difference is about 15$ and less then get the 1700+ ...
