| My work has P4's with the NORTHWOOD core in STOCK now!!!
northwood is available now at my work!!! i just wish i could say where i work without losing my job! Intel won't allow us to advertise it, but we have it, it's a 2ghz part, labeled as 2A Ghz with 512K L2 cache... 1.5 volts. nice little chip! and no, i don't work for a huge company like dell or compaq. still extremely expensive at about $450-500 or so, i forget the retail price. actually we've had the chips in stock for over a week now. |

Hmmm....so if Intel tells you to jump off a bridge, would you do it?
lol, j/k. Thats cool. I'm not a fan of Intel but I'd like to see how that chip will compare to AMD's next release. |

we're all ready selling them to the public....we just can't advertise that we have them. we are selling them as standard 2ghz parts. Intel can't make enough of the old core at 2ghz, so they simply started shipping us the 2A parts and said we can't advertise we have them, but we've sold several already. |

Well guys,
you all like to see benchmarks of that P4 2.0Ghz/512KB??
We have em at work too, I can get one from the cpu room, bench it and after that bring it back.
You will have to wait till 2nd of january, but I'll get em for ya.
I'll compare em to the XP1800+ @ default, okay??

Ya know what?? I'll even bench it against it's 256Kb counterpart.
And if we have the XP1900+ already too, I'll include that one too.
Will all be seperate jpg's, but the outcome won't be any different tho.
I'll make a bet even, that the Northwood barely, or not even outbenches the XP1900+, if we have that.
If we don't, I'll clock my own XP1800+ to 1900 speed and bench that.
