| How off is AsusProbe's temp readings?
I have ASUSProbe v2.0 and I know that the CPU temp reads high, but was wondering how much. I always thought it was 10C too high, but the other day I looked at my BIOS Reading again (Is this accurate?) and saw that it was 15C. What kind of temp differences do you guys get with AsusProbe? 15C makes much more sense for my setup as then my temps would be 22C system (yes it's cold in here) 34-34C Full load CPU. This is a Tbird 1.333@1.333 1.55v. 32C Idle temp. If the difference is only 10C as I had thought then it becomes 37C Idle 38-39C Full load, which bugged me incessently as some of the more extreme air cooled setups get this.
15C: peace of mind for my WC at last?

Try this: http://mbm.livewiredev.com/download/MBM5102.EXE
Motherboard Monior 5. Its much better and has more functionality and features (such as being able to monitor temperatures while playing a game, for example) than asus probe. Its also more accurate.
BTW, those are pretty good temperatures for a T-bird 1.33. The problem you might have with asus probe is its registering 10 degrees cooler than the CPU is running at.

i've read mixed input about the ASUS temp monitor. they range from just a few degrees to 15c - or +. i wouldn't trust it.
go with the one SEALTEAMTHREE suggested. it has more options.

Thanks for the file. I'll try it out.
Just to note though: I Like ASusProbe a lot (despite the temp innaccuracy which you can easily compensate for) because it's nice and small and fast. It also minimizes into the tray so you can play games, etc whie its on

Ruahrc -
If you like AsusProbe, you should try MBProbe. It's small (68Kb) accurate, and easy to install and use. |

MBM also minimizes to the tray, and you can set it to show the CPU temperature in the tray as well. |

Well if MBM is accurate (it seems to correlate with my BIOS readings) then my previous AsusProbe reading was 15C too high.
34C Full load (Prime95 or Games), 32C Idle
20-22C Case
WC Tbird 1.333@1.333 (one of the hottest chips now that the AthlonXP's are out?) 1.55v. Yay my WC is performing as it should!

MBM looks like a pretty good program I kind of like the dials but it loads slowly and took forever to configure. Maybe this other prog is better |

Don't trust ASUS probe. Its gives me also the wrong readings. MBM works on most motherboards and gives accurate meassurings on my ASUS board |
