HSF and Thermal Compound

What is the best heat sink and/or fan and thermal compound I can get for my AMD Athlon XP 2500+?

Thanks in advance.

For thermal compound, check out the Arctic Silver 5. According to this article, the 5 is superior to the Arctic Silver 3. Compared to other compounds, I don't know, but that name has been recommended to me by many people.

FYI: It's interesting to know why the jump from 3 to 5 in naming the Arctic Silver:

Quote:
Why the jump from Arctic Silver 3 to Arctic Silver 5, though? In Japan, where Arctic Silver has a large market, the number 4 is synonymous with death. Therefore, they decided to name the new thermal paste Arctic Silver 5 to avoid the poor marketing.

OK, I know everyone here says Artic Silver but I wasn't sure on what number to get. BTW I saw Artic Silver on sale at SVC for 4.99

Thermalright SLK 900 or 900A, paired with the Vantec Tornado fan is imo the best HSF.

I like Artic Ceramique. It does not run as much as Artic Silver does.

I have not tryed AS5 yet.
