That's awesome, i have seen a computer that you can buy that runs at a massive 4ghz but the case itself is 500$ and the computer its self is about 3500$. I want to know why anyone would want to do that and then ruin the board

what do you mean ruin the board? this system they are using to reach 5ghz is not made for long term use, just to show how fast they can take the processor. no regular use system would use that cooling method.

What's the fastest it could run and benchmark? I'd like to see the numbers.

Doesn't sound like the system was stable enough to run benchmarks due to signal loss. A shame, but Windows, at rthe very least, ran.
I think John P. may have an opinion on why they couldn't benchmark too  |

I wonder how long it would take a 5GHz chip to process a UD, Seti@home or other packet?? Might find some answers faster that way.  |
