Processor upgrade help.

I have a Gigabyte GA-7DX Motherboard that has AMD Athlon XP 1900+. The motherboard has a FSB of 266...

Now, can I upgrade to a processor that has a FSB of 333 like a "Barton" AMD Athlon XP 2800+ With a 512 L2 Cache?

Or.. Do I have to settle for a processor with 266 FSB because of my motherboard.. Thank you.

hmmmm, I think this is the chart to go with your board.....looks like you are already nearly maxed out.

the fastest the chart shows for that baord is a xp2100. I see after the xp2100 it goes to some "-" and then to "n/a" so Im not sure what the "-" stands for, lol.

I saw a 7dxe listed and it showed it used up to an xp2400.

hard to say for sure...but either way, doesnt look like it'll run any 333fsb stuff.
