I just got an interesting email from "symantec.com". Yeah the maker of Norton Anti-virus.
"The sample file you sent contains a new virus version of my doom.j. Please clean your system with the attached signature.
Sincerly,
Robert Ferrew"
This would be strange because I never sent them a file, I use AVG, and it came in through my domain name catch-all account, (the on I have set up for misspelled email addresses, that sort of thing)
What is amusing is that it was a virus email.
"Viruses found in the attached files.
The attached file signature.zip is infected by I-Worm/Netsky.Q. The attachment was moved to the virus vault." AVG
I get several virus emails everyday but this is the first time I've actually seen one trying to hide itself like this. Norton users Watch Out!!
