Suspicious email?

Got this in my inbox.

Looks suspicious to me.

I never emailed Symantec.

Is this a new trick to screw people with a virus?

Yeah, I have gotten fake returned email with a virus attached a few times, you are right to be suspicious.

Not really a new trick.

What I noticed few days back after reactivating my hotmail account and taking a look at the junk mail folder that the spammers are trying to circumvent the blacklisted words.
I got mails with words like 'sal3' and <insert_here_words_mostly_used_in_ads> with similar twists
That's not new either, I just don't bother to even look at the spam

The returned email part I know is not a new trick.

It's that it purports to be from Symantec that bothers me.
