on my site i have a list of programs i've tested and confirmed with the guys here that are some great anti-crapware programs. I also link to a site that lists a bunch of known fake anti-crapware programs that you should stay away from (btw...ad-aware and spybot together only detect about 50 to 60% of all the spyware out there. giant anti-spyware (now microsoft anti-spyware beta) was number one and webroot spysweeper was number two hope that helps!

I have decided something..

When I win the lottery....

I will get the nerdiest freaking computer geeks on the face of this earth and have them design me a program and a virus. This program will detect when someones system dumps stuff onto your computer. Then the program will send a virus directly back to the system.

The virus will make a little pop-up window the says...

Busted plus dirty words blah blah blah.

And crash the harddrive.

Anyways I will make it a free program to all and we can stop retards who do this stuff.

This will all happen when I win the lottery!

Is Ad-ware not free anymore? I can't find a free version on their web site or on download.com.

I got spy-bot, but Ad-ware was a favorite for me.

Adaware's site sends you to PCWorld. At the end of the article click on "Download"

ad-aware and spybot are not the end all fix all anti-spyware programs out there. these studies are a few months old, but at that time together they only caught about 76% fo the new spyware out. Giant spyware (now microsoft anti-spyware) was #1 and i believe it still is. If you can get microsoft anti-spyware i recommend it...if not then i recommend spyware doctor (free version is fine!). Lastly, I also recommend a-squared. As a side note the pesky stuff that these things can't remove can usually be nabbed by hijack this....all of these things can be found at my site.

Thanks for the help. It's really getting crazy, got to have 3 or 4 programs, not just one to clean it all up!
