SETI virus?
I have the SETI@Home command line version that I run on my computer. This morning AVG detected a possible virus. The Work Units are downloaded from the SETI server and then analyzed by the program. AVG detected the possible virus in one of the cached work units. Is this something to be concerned about? I have attached an image of the AVG Test Result.

I assume you have heuristic scanning enabled in AVG. If so, you can disregard the warning as it is just a partial code hit. The W97M virus family is associated with the older Melissa and Marker viruses, and I doubt either would be used to stage an attack against SETI since both are macro viruses.
