Troj STILEN.A help

goes with this thread SP2 or Norton Firewall?

basically need a way to block this troj from coming back

the person does use AIM chat and msn chat...could it be coming through on eof those?

I have zone alarm and norton AV going on the new machine..Id like to avoid the phone calls for this trojan reappearing plus keep the cutomer happy.

or is it just something she is clicking on? she says the trojan keep coming back

ahh...probably nevermind....I looked in her AVG logfile and she had like 30 viruses detected in the past

and here adaware SE hadnt been updated in like 26 days..I ran it and found all kinds of crap, lol....and all sorts of bingo, free smiley, and other crap in recycle bin...so looks like she is click happy, lol

Question:
Is she getting infected by this trojan, or is Norton just giving her a warning that it is trying to get in?

Never used Norton myself, but I have used McAfee and CA's etrust. Both of these will give you a warning if a virus or trojan try to get into your system.

ie. when they block it.

Oh, and PresterJohn is correct ( in other thread). A firewall will not stop a trojan from infecting a system, it will however warn you that it is trying to get out.
ie. trying to access a port and such.
